[/quote] Um, the two hours at school could and should be spent studying. OP is saying that the kid won't do that unless she's standing over him. That's the definition of helicoptering. As is making a 30 mile trip just so your snowflake doesn't have to fill two hours on his own. DH is teaching the kid discipline and the fine art of being productive without someone standing over you. OP is teaching the kid that he's the center of the universe and will never have to endure a moment of discomfort or boredom. [/quote]
