This is another reason why I like being a lawyer:  Weeds out insecure men like you. No man who  uses the term "ball busting" seriously is worth the time it takes to dismiss him.  I have two friends who are teachers and both of them have husbands who are really misogynistic tools.  Both of my friends are smart (choice of husbands aside), but bullies who want to keep women small and controllable seem to be attracted to female teachers.  My husband is sweet, smart and a good partner.[/quote]

Yes, I have no doubt my husband is secretly miserable because OMGLAWYERWIFE!!  Funny that you are complaining about stereotypes when you trotted out quite a few about female lawyers.  Carry on.[/quote]

Keeping patting yourself on the back about how you're so much better than your friends that are teachers that somehow their profession makes them more controllable vs your profession who pays you more but is associated with an awful attitude and one of the least respected professions around. I'll like to see what your friends think you view their relationships.

She didn't say she thinks she is better than a teacher.  Just that nasty men seem to be attracted to teachers. Miserable men don't want to be with a woman who is by training not afraid to argue.  It's not a good or a bad trait, but it sure keeps the jerks at bay.[/quote]
