What other President launched a hostage rescue attempt?

Carter is the only President who launched a totally unnecessary, politically motivated, militarily disastrous hostage rescue.

And that leaves aside the fact that the hostage crisis was the product of his dickless foreign policy in the first place, and that "President Honorable" threw our long-term ally the Shah under the bus.
