We put shelves and some drawers in the closet for clothes and got a changing table. I don't know how you would bulky packages of diapers and wipes in the top drawer of of a dresser. And, honestly, I didn't want to change poopy diapers on a nice piece of furniture. But that was me. I would not get both a dresser AND a changing table for a small room - way too cramped, you just have to choose for yourself which one you would prefer to have.[/quote] We removed the hutch from my grandparents' small Ethan Allen breakfront and used a changing pad on top for about 18 months. Didn't harm the furniture at all since we had a changing pad, and there was plenty of room for the diapers - not cramped at all. When my daughter started potty training, we changed diapers in our bathroom and reassembled the breakfront. Worked beautifully for us. [/quote]
