Return or sell the baby gift. The baby doesn't care if you get the gift and a niece is for a lifetime not just a baby shower or the first year. You will have a lifetime to get to know her and give her gifts. Sometimes even when you really, really want to be there in person for a family event, it doesn't work out. With the money from the gift above, go to the dollar store by shampoo and soap, get cleaned up. Get any job. Look on craigslists for pet sitting, errand running, weed pulling, cleaning. Do an easy online jobs - mturk, freelance easy writing gigs, anything at all. Get any job part time or full time in a place - retail, fast food, reception - whatever. Earning a paycheck again will help with the depression.
This. It is my understanding that it is extremely hard to actually evict someone. Use this to your advantage. Let the management company know that you are going though hard times but give them something like $10 even. then get a job and keep giving them whatever payments you can. Make some kind of an effort and I don't think they can evict you. You can get a job. Clean up and spend a whole day going from retail to retail applying. restaurants, fast food, anything. Tell them you can work anytime, any hours and can start immediately.
