I agree PP that knowing Jack's Story would be so interesting. James Cameron should make a pre-equal to Titanic, give us some backstory on Jack, how he ended up on the streets, what his own family background was like. Who were his parents...??

Then they should skip a few years and show us Rose's Story. Who she married, what kind of life she lived, how much she thought about Jack over the years.

I do agree with another PP that she [i]did[/i] only know the guy for a few days. And yet he was the lasting love of her life. In theory, she also should have taken into account that the first days are usually the BEST days in any romance so she only saw the enhanced version of who he was or represented himself to be.
