Correct -- God rules the universe and sent his son Jesus to die for our sins and then rise from the dead as God's way of offering us eternal life.  If we choose not to believe in him or not to accept the story of his son's necessary sacrifice, [b]then we do not get eternal life[/b].

God doesn't make mistakes.  He IS cruel sometimes, as indicated in some old testament Bible stories, but only when he thought it was the best thing for his chosen people, the Jews.  As mere mortals, there is much we can't understand about God's ways, but if we have faith, we will be with him after we die where everything will be explained.[/quote]
