Is the program at Lemon Road inferior to Westbriar's or Haycock's or Churchill Road's LIV? What does the percentage of FARMS have to with the quality /implementation of the AAP curriculum?
Has anyone on this thread claimed the FARMS percentage at Lemon Road has an impact on the AAP program there? If so, I missed it. If there's an issue at Lemon Road, it's because FCPS decided to add LLIV at Westgate and Shrevewood shortly after it opened an AAP Center at Lemon Road. To the extent there's a smaller pool of AAP-eligible students at Lemon Road/Shrevewood/Westgate than in some areas in McLean and Vienna with lower FARMS percentages, it means that the three schools end up competing with each other for the AAP kids and none may have what's considered a "critical mass" of AAP students (i.e., two or more classrooms of AAP students in each grade). Whether that matters to you depends upon whether you really think having a "critical mass" of AAP kids is important.
