The books (3 of them) end with an open ended cliff hanger so since episode 10 will be the end of book 3, they could definitely continue from there.

I think that is one of the reasons Kate didn't age as much as she did in the books, so they could have a love triangle later if they wanted to go that route.[/quote]

Without spoiling it yet, I doubt they will have episode 10 end with the town doing what they did in the books. I think they will want to continue on as is.[/quote]
