Looks like Nevada got smart and will give EVERYONE a voucher to attend a private/parochial if they choose.  So if the system is bad, at least your tax dollars can be useful to find a proper alternative.[/quote]

I think DC spends at least $10k per pupil and much more in poorer areas.  So that would be the stipend.  It would work.  No idea where you got $5300 from.[/quote]

Undoubtedly te best way to improve public schools is to find new ways of siphoning yet more money from school budgets and reducing the resources available to struggling and at risk students.  Where do you think thousamds of these "vouchers" will be used?  Sidwell?  GDS?  NCS?  Do you have the slightest idea what tuition costs at a private school in DC?[/quote]
