Who goes there?[/quote] The 144,000 thing always confused me as a child. It's a number pulled from Revelations, which is taken quite literally. Apparently if you are part of the 144,000, you'll know somehow, like a calling. There was one gentleman that I recall as a child who was said to be one of the number. It's a practically saintly way they get treated. Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe in hell...... but they do believe that unrepentant sinners that won't convert in the Last Days, as they call it, will burn for 1000 years in the lake of fire, also in Revelations.
