A bunch of self-important blowhards.[/quote] I believe what people usually think is that a) new money has a greater desire to show off their wealth, b) that new money often lacks a tradition of culture and education in the family and that shows in their behaviors and tastes, and c) people suspect that sudden wealth was not achieved without taking advantage of others (it's hard to get rich within one generation in a completely honest way). Not saying they are right or wrong, but I think this is why people mention "new money" pejoratively.[/quote]
