Honestly, it's a challenge even for those of us who aren't quiverful/Duggar-types, but just normal people who were hoping for a big family and wanting to avoid hormonal BC. I mean, I didn't want 20, but I did want more than two and my own personal beliefs aren't really compatible with the most common types of BC. It's a tough situation to be in. I want to be alive & well to raise the children I already have, I want to utilize the family planning methods that I can feel good about, and I want to have a normal marriage, but I can't put myself in a situation that's likely to result in me being sliced open over & over again. It's a really tough situation to be in. I haven't found any answers yet. It sounds like none of you on here really care about the delicate balance of being in that situation.
There's no delicate balance. There are the choices you make. If they're not working, choose differently.
No it is hard. I'm in the same boat but have to avoid hormonal bc for medical reasons (it messes with my body and mind in bad ways).
Are you guys done with kids yet? If so, you could do a tubal ligation or get your DHs to have a vasectomy. I had a tubal ligation and am completely happy with it, but, obviously, I was also done with having kids.
