My DH is an only child and recently had reason to be in his hometown without me and the kids. From what he said, I think it was very nice for him and his parents to have some time together without the whole crowd of us. I get along great with his parents, but I think you're right that it's important for parents and their adult children to have time alone together, too.[/quote]
