I know that's hard to understand for most people here.[/quote] Actually, Google reveals that after graduating from law school, Tehran Tom clerked for the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, which is a one year commitment, before joining Gibson Dunn. Then, within a period of about two-years, he leaves Biglaw as a first year associate with virtually no meaningful litigation experience to join a pedigreed DC litigation boutique firm with deep conservative ties, only to join the Army, but not through the JAG program, in which event he would have been commissioned as a Captain. Not too many Lieutenants with a Harvard law degree and a stint as a law clerk. I find all of this quite strange.[/quote]
