ha ha! I agree - I'm always extremely skeptical of "Top X" rankings and think it is naïve to base any decisions on them.  I clicked on the link though (which is what the makers of the ranking really wanted) and checked the scores on our ES - Wyngate.  A for academics, A+ for teachers and B+ for diversity.  Sounds good to me and makes me not care about the ranking at all (81st in the DMV).[/quote]

The fact that we have to add diversity as a reason to rank a school is ridiculous. I guess TJ would get a zero. It is almost all Asian because they don't shuffle kids around. The best of the best only.  Not the same for our magnets where diversity is a reason for admit. Sorry smart little Asian girl, we need to add the mediocre Hispanic girl to show how diverse our IB program is. [/quote]
