I talked to a neighbor whose 3 year old grandson was sent home a couple times in the middle of the day for excessively hitting other kids largely due to not getting enough sleep at night. I'm not sure what the best way for schools/DC to handle these situations is.
Well, I think it is totally unacceptable to subject other children to aggressive behavior. There should be separate schools for these kids or least separate classrooms.
so a 3 year old child is abused by his caretakers (not getting enough sleep at night at 3????) and your response is that "those kids" should get separate scools or classrooms? at 3 or 4? if a child this age has serious behavioral problems the child needs to be helped ASAP, social services need to be involved and work with the family if there is one, or give one to the child if he does not have it. we are not talking about a rude 16 year old, we are talking about a toddler or barely older child who is reacting to a problem. he/she needs help. the last thing the child needs is being labeled and isolated from the other children.
