Matriarchal societies are best for everyone. When men have power and are put in charge of money, they tend to spend it on themselves for things like alcohol, drugs, gambling and prostitutes. Women tend to reinvest in the family which benefits society as a whole. Just watched Katie Couric as she moderates a panel at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The discussion, "Ending Poverty through Parity," focuses on how to invest in women and girls around the world. http://news.yahoo.com/video/world-economic-forum-2015-katie-230000556.html
Serious question. If matriarchal societies are best, then why aren't most societies matriarchal? Shouldn't there be an evolutionary / survival of the fittest angle here that fits?
Oh gosh, more bullshit evolutionary theory. please. Also, things are different now. Obviously, men generally fare better in hand to hand combat. But we have seen a rapid change in gender roles since warfare technology became more advanced. Now, with most work becoming digital and not labor based, I think we will see a complete reversal of the gender power balance. Women are now being rated as smarter than men, they graduate college in much higher percentages, and the wage gap is predicted to be reversed soon. SOURCE While matriarchy is already a reality in some societies, I think before long it will be the norm for the west.
so because you think it, it must be, got it. And look, I made my point by not insulting you.
Did you even read the article? let me guess- no. Because you dont want to read any facts that would contradict the narrative youve constructed in your head. Pathetic.
settle down, sally. you've made a lot of assumptions based on nothing. sounds like a winning formula to me.
Again.... not answering the question, not reading the article.
I read the article - so one Atlantic journalist makes a conclusion, and thus it must be? Next time, try engaging in useful dialogue rather than dismissing a question out of hand with an insult. you make assumptions much to quickly - perhaps you're not as smart as you think?
Ok, now you're saying you know more than the Atlantic, New York Times, and the MIT, Carnegie Mellon, and Union College scientists who came up with the conclusion?
