11:21/11:24 again. I should add that I'm quite sure that Muslima is the poster who came out with declarations that "Islam treats women captives well" and "women are equal in Islam" without any further explanation of these points. The former led to dozens of pages about whether women captives/concubines are released if/when they become pregnant, or whether freedom comes only after the Muslim slave owner dies. The latter led to about 3 pages of various posters citing Islamic divorce, inheritance and marital property laws before Muslima responded with "oh, of course I meant the Islamic idea of women's equality, which is much different from what I like to call Western 'linear' equality, and you should have known all along what I meant." (For those who weren't in on that discussion and don't know what she meant, Muslima uses the phrase 'Western linear equality' to mean 'legal equality' in laws regarding divorce and inheritance.) Carelessness? A sincere desire to put a good face on Islam? Proselytizing? You decide, because I still can't be sure.
You're entitled to your opinion. I am the poster who beat down the other Muslim poster with the truth about marriage, inheritance, captive and divorce laws, and I don't think it was Muslima. The writing styles are very different. I don't think it was her.
