You obviously never got outside.  It was very bad, and the streets were ice under that "dusting".  Kudos for MoCo and PG for trying a 2-hr delay and figuring out is was actually bad.  Their chancellors probably walked outside.[/quote]

I walked my kid to school, then rode my bike the 30 min to work.  How many kids were killed yesterday trying to get to school? How many were seriously injured? None that I read about. People in this region need to learn how to cope with minor weather events.[/quote]

LCPS had 16 kids in the hospital due to a bus accident.

Last year during the snow, my school had a teacher (so not a kid, maybe she doesn't matter) in the hospital for two weeks and out of work for months due to a fall on the sidewalk trying to get to school on a similar day when DCPS didn't close.[/quote]
