I don't even know but somehow that's the total. I shop at whole foods, balduccis and the organic butcher, so clearly that's my problem. I also bought almost all organic bc I'm pregnant and made everything from scratch bc I've had problems with prepared food and illness. [/quote]

Did you buy the pots to cook your food in?  I'm not being sarcastic, I'm just really curious as to how you managed to arrive at a total like that. How much was your turkey?[/quote]

Haha! No, I already owned the pots, but that would certainly make me feel better about the total! The turkey breast was $65 and the ham was $40. DH and I did a whole foods run on Tuesday for $250. On Wed, DH hit balduccis for the rest of the stuff and spent another $250. Then, he went to the organic butcher for the turkey. The best part of spending all this $$ is that our 2 adult guests fell ill, so all that food for 2 adults and a toddler. We might freeze the ham for christmas but we have an insane amount of turkey in the fridge. I always over shop, I have a chronic fear of running out of food. [/quote]

I think I'd just roll up my sleeves and cook up some casseroles to freeze.  You don't want all that good food to go to waste and you never know when a frozen dish might come in handy for yourself or someone you know.  In fact, you could even send something to the couple who got sick and missed out on the Thanksgiving feast.

Turkey tetrazini, turkey divan, turkey enchiladas, curried turkey over rice, turkey and wild rice soup, etc.  You'll have a well stocked freezer.[/quote]
