My thoughts exactly. The only difference is that when kids are given fame, they are slow to the lesson that people really don't have time to care about your deep musings and that maybe you have a LOT more to learn than you already know as a teen. I think average people come to this quicker because they aren't always being told "yes" but famous people have that trap for sure.[/quote]

I strongly disagree that most teens sounds this way.  Having teens myself, I can say with confidence that my kids don't talk in a way that makes them sound like they are out of touch with reality.  The article is sad in my opinion  and says more about the parents than the kids.  There are many celebrities that go to extreme lengths for their kids to grow up grounded and this is just ridiculous parenting and the Smiths should really be embarrassed. [/quote]

Willow and Jaden sound ridiculous, but most teens do. Of course what they sound even nuttier because what they're reading is "out there."
