[/quote] Yeah, original quoted poster, you are thinking perhaps about your parents generation, but I lived in Germany for many years and have many friends in relationships and with families there and nothing you are saying is true. Mothers stay home after their children are born because they are given one year paid leave. Everyone I know with kids has gone back to work - this was much more common in Germany long before in America.[/quote]
