As it stands now, the answer to 1) is no; the answer to 2) is "no" and answer to 3) is also "no". This is why I said earlier the MCPS has turn the corner (not for better). [/quote] You don't mean "the performance of MCPS can be maintained." You mean "the test scores of MCPS students can be maintained." Given that test scores strongly correlate with SES, it's an open question whether MCPS truly was a better school system in those halcyon, long-past days when everybody was white, middle-class, and suburban, than it is now, when many students aren't.[/quote]
