NP here.  One of the least fun weddings I have ever been to was clearly a six figure wedding (with like 300 people) that was stuffy and pretentious.  The food was amazing, but there was a classical orchestra and no one danced.

On the other hand, some of the most fun weddings I have been to have been low budget backyard BBQ style weddings.  I think what makes a wedding fun is the couple and being able to have fun with close friends as opposed to every business associate of the couple.  DH and I had about a 30k wedding, which still seems like a lot of money to me, and it was so much fun.  The dance floor was packed all night!  The pp bragging about the 100k wedding sounds boring and lame.[/quote]
