I don't mean this in a rude way: but are those of you who are exercising 6-7 days a week for an hour every day-- do you 1) work FT 2) have more than one child? I work out about 5-6 days a week just using videos bc I have to be at work early and I can't do it after work bc I need to be with my fam, cook etc. just wondering---
I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. I also work outside the home BUT (and this is the key), I have an amazing DH who does the entire morning routine. I'm up and out of the door by 5:00 and I work out at the gym at my job and I'm at my desk by 7 so that I can leave at 3. If I can only get myself in bed by 9 every night, I'd be golden!
I also have a one year old and a three year old and work FT (albeit from home two days/week, which really helps). I wake up before everyone to work out some days, take the kids for runs in the double jogger the other days. I also have a short commute. Those things make it doable. If I weren't a morning person and used to a morning workout for years, it would be really hard.
I have 3 kids under 5 in center-based daycare and work full time. I run 5-6 days a week. My kids often get up before 6 so I can't do morning workouts. I either go for a run at lunch, or get on the treadmill after the kids are in bed, around 8:30 or 9pm. On weekends, I often take the youngest out in a jogging stroller. My DH is also extremely supportive, but travels a fair amount for work, and it takes an enormous amount of dedication to get the runs in. I have to think about how to fit my run in every single day, and really make it a priority. Every few months i run out of steam and take a few days off.
