Every single thing that 13:35 said is correct. It is doing a disservice to your religion and your own morality to try to discount those things PP. Your BOM or D&C can help set you straight if you are confused about such things.
yours Truly, 13:35
I'm not 13:35 at all. I'm 10:48 and 11:51. But you are a bit scary. You can't be a very faithful member if you can't admit these truths about your religion. Your dedication to denial is actually quite frightening.
somehow you assume the person who wrote that is a mormon? How could you possibly think you'd know that?
Are there non-Mormon Mormon apologists out there? My assumption is no.
Not a mormon apologist, just someone who knows where to acquire information about what Mormons have to say about their own religion - e.g. the official Mormon website.
The Mormon church has a great pr team. No doubt about that. What they may say on the web page and what they actually practice are very different things. If you are a TRULY interested in learning more about the tenants of the LDS faith, read the Book of Mormon, the doctrine and covenants and the pearl of great price. Those texts will show you the correctness in 13:35's statement. I lived this faith for 32 years in the Mecca of LDS. My family are still active members. I'm glad you are researching the official Mormon website if that is of interest to you, but please know that is not the whole story.
OF course I know it's not the full story and that they have a great pr team -- most rich religions spend a lot of money on PR of one kind or another. The point is that they do officially accept Christ as the son of god and that makes them a form of Christianity. People are entitled to their opinions, but it doesn't change the official stance of the church.
