I've seen quite a few men in my life parading around in miniskirts and high heels. There are plenty of gender benders all over the world. It's ironic how offensive that line is. Your religion (and many others) refuse to embrace people for who they are. When you lock people into specific gender roles - as identified by types of clothing - you force them to adopt behaviors and beliefs that box them in. Where's the freedom to express who they are? Isn't being true to yourself a way to connect with God? Do you have kids? Would you force your daughter to cover? What if your son told you he was gay? How does your ancient and revered text advise you to handle infidels? Do you put enough fear into your children to force them to conform to beliefs that don't sit well with them? Or do you throw out "God's words" and instead love your children for who they really are? And answer this honestly - If your son brought home his partner, where would he be the safest? here in the States or back home? Religion is controlling. It's hypocritical. It's for those who are fearful. I will not allow fear to run my life, nor will I model that for my own kids.

If this form of practice is such a "joy," why aren't men asked to do it? Where's the joy for the men?
I guessed you missed the point, it is not the scarf that gives joy, what gives joy is "faith" and the feeling of being close to the Creator, the scarf is just One aspect of a multitude of others parts of faith...Men have a different dress code that I discussed in previous posts, both men and women are required to dress modestly. Men & Women are different, equal in front of God AND of course will have a different dress code like they do in every society. You don't see men parading around in miniskirts and high heels, do you? If you wanna learn more about how men vs women are viewed in Islam
