It is a big gamble to not save for college and just hope the system changes.[/quote] it is still a smaller gamble than living one's whole life (having less kids, living in a smaller house, feeling poor, under saving retirement etc) because of the assumption that 2030 tuition will be 7 million dollars or something. and the key to high-quality programs is their selectiveness, not money. is your kid the top 1% or top 0.01%? are you going to gamble 20 years of your lifestyle and all major decisions on the belief that he is?
