I've never become single, I always was a single parent.  But we don't get invited to the birthday parties or playdates, specifically from school  We found community from church, and with a bunch of other families that look like ours.  I don't want to waste my time figuring out why all the coupled families don't hang with us, when we like them very much.  I focus instead on who wants to be our friends and who is good for us, and who we like and want to be good friends with.  It is part of life.  It gets easier...[/quote]
