OP here - what I meant is… fewer playdates (which DS really misses), no more classes together, etc. I only have one child, and I was sort of counting on his friends' support for the tough times ahead. I feel really sad, I don't know what to do. One thing I always counted on was that DS had some sort of support system, but I guess I will have to find something else. I was just wondering, if you had that experience before, did you try to avoid this person?
I've never become single, I always was a single parent. But we don't get invited to the birthday parties or playdates, specifically from school We found community from church, and with a bunch of other families that look like ours. I don't want to waste my time figuring out why all the coupled families don't hang with us, when we like them very much. I focus instead on who wants to be our friends and who is good for us, and who we like and want to be good friends with. It is part of life. It gets easier...
