He'd been engaged and discovered that she was cheating and wasn't over it yet. (FYI, I was 23 at the time and naive. I put the pieces together after the fact.) He was trying to move on, but I think he wanted to work things out. He seemed to use me for companionship and comfort, but never made a move other than wanting to cuddle sometimes. It was mutual, as I was also on the rebound. He would ask me to sleep over, but he never tried anything. He would sleep on the couch and I would sleep in his bed. I can't prove it, but I think they eventually got back together.[/quote]
