I've used someone before to give me some advice on investments but I think I'll do well to continue managing it myself. Of course a planner is going to tell me to save for retirement but my question wasn't about whether I should have ANY savings as much as it is about whether I should STOP saving for the unforeseen expenses once I reach a certain number.
