Because there are negatives with VA schools, too, particularly with Alexandria City and Fairfax County.
What's wrong with FFX county schools?
Maybe a statistical aberration, but it does not bode well for a school system that sees four of its high school students take their own lives in a 48 hour time span. One school saw six suicides I believe, in a three year time frame. You can read today's WaPo article to confirm the numbers; no guarantees for accuracy but the thrust is about right. Add liberal gun laws to that and you've got a recipe for disaster. Maybe there is something to it: Students growing up in the city see the struggle of others, maybe develop empathy, maybe gain perspective about their own privilege, maybe have better access to services. Or maybe I'm plain wrong.
