We were lead to believe that is what happened, the framed suicide.  But, everyone seems so sure he would kill the rapist and I think that is because they really believe he killed his wife.[/quote]

Well, just speaking for myself here, but I believe he would kill the rapist to get revenge for the horrible assault of his beloved wife - not because he's just a murderin' kinda guy. And if the plot line had made it seem even a little believable that he *didn't* kill the rapist, I would probably be able to get behind that a little more.[/quote]
