I don't think they have the right chemistry.  it was too obvious in earlier seasons that even though Carol was interested, Daryl wasn't.  It would feel too forced.

I think Daryl/Michonne or Daryl/Beth would make more sense, and there's more chemistry.

Daryl and Michonne are so alike and do have chemistry.  But Beth might be good for Daryl's character as well, because she might soften him a bit.

I actually do think Beth could be interesting.  her character just hasn't been given a chance.  She really got a lot stronger at the prison, but yet unlike so many of the others, she still maintained a soft side (singing to the baby, et cetera).  She also has one crucial thing in common with Daryl -- neither of them had much in the way of romantic relationships before the zombie apocalypse.  So in some ways, a romance between them could actually have a hint of genuine young love.  Carol, Michonne, the others, had relationships before -- complicated, baggage-filled relationships.[/quote]
