Joel did talk, he listened to Julia all season and was annoyed most of the time...he asked Julia point blank what happened with her and Ed and she lied. Also, Joel did go to counseling with Julia-  to figure out how to break the news to the kids.  Joel was tired of going along to get along, getting his opinions dismissed...it was too little too late...the wall Joel was putting up was completed when Julia kissed and told....[/quote]
