I can buy that Joel and Julia have big problems. The creator mentioned that they always swept a lot of their issues under the rug. I can also buy that Joel would be reluctant to do counseling. But not talking at all? Leaving his family? No way. It's ridiculous. Regardless of the rug sweeping, there was a lot of love and friendship there. I think they'll get back together. That will be the stupid end of season tearjerker. Only nobody will be crying, because the storyline is so stupid. I've never been so mad at a fake person (Joel). I too almost started this thread, too.
Joel did talk, he listened to Julia all season and was annoyed most of the time...he asked Julia point blank what happened with her and Ed and she lied. Also, Joel did go to counseling with Julia- to figure out how to break the news to the kids. Joel was tired of going along to get along, getting his opinions dismissed...it was too little too late...the wall Joel was putting up was completed when Julia kissed and told....
