Good food is good food everywhere. It just so happens that the traditional staples of American cuisine tend to appeal to the rudest, most uneducated palates, hence the ubiquitous corn syrup, deep frying, use of butter and cheese, and so on. Perhaps inevitable in a country founded by puritans and the detritus of more civilized nations.[/quote]
