That doesn't mean those systems are inferior to other districts with fewer "disadvantaged" kids taking the test. Of course a district with 75% minority kids is going to have lower AVERAGE scores than a district with 25% minority kids. That's why it's relevant IMO to compare the portions that AREN'T minority/disadvantaged from district A with the same group in district B. But, you go ahead and feel proud that FCPS overall was higher than Arlington overall -- if that makes you feel secure at night, fine. BTW -- my kids are in FCPS... so I want the scores to be the best, but reality says they are not.[/quote]
