I walk around my vehicle before getting in, check all mirrors, and use the back up cam before checking mirrors again. I realize that it is my responsibility BUT people texting and walking or otherwise distracted in parking lots make it very difficult to maximize safety. Friend of a friend got hit by a car because she was texting and walked into the intersection during a green light. Phones are a problem both for the pedestrian as it is for the driver.[/quote]
