Yeah, but Catholics aren't allowed to discriminate by segregating their churches. We have to follow the laws to make our schools safe, follow fire codes and safety regulations, for example. If we Catholics run hospitals or universities, we should not be allowed to discriminate against gays or to deny reproductive rights. If we did, then we'd be demanding special rights. On top of that, Catholic institutions want federal money for those hospitals and schools. If Catholic institutions accept such money, then Catholic institutions must stop discrimination. Even if those institutions don't take federal or state money, there is no right to discriminate.[/quote]
