I think its pretty pathetic that the police don't even bother trying to keep the trail safe at all times, and admit it.
How are they supposed to patrol every single inch of a miles long trail? How are the police supposed to secure your safety in every single bit of outdoor space 100% of the time. Life is risky. You panty-waists who think all risk should be mitigated at all times need to go live in a bubble. You are tiresome ninnies.
It is VERY unusual for a police force to write-off certain parts of a place as un-patrollable. I do expect to be safe 100% of the time in a public place, and if I feel unsafe, I expect my fellow citizens and the police to respond quickly to help me. I don't expect the police to shrug their shoulders and say, hey, we told you to avoid that Eckington stretch, which is what they told the neighborhood. If a location is having problems with roving hordes of criminal attackers, I would expect the police to do whatever they can to keep that area safe. Why are your standards for public safety so low?
