far far too much time on your hands. And +1 on being so strictly against any alcohol that they never see it being consumed responsibly. It is fine of course that YOU dont drink as that is your choice but many people do and they do it responsibly. I was introduced to alcohol at the table in Europe at a family dinner - no lectures, just enjoying a fine wine with a pot roast. I also was offered sherry with appetizers at friend's houses in France. There was no drama there either and I didnt like the taste of it. I was 15 both times. And now as an adult, I have a drink now and then but I have never understood the idea of drinking alcohol to get drunk. It wasnt something I did in college the way kids in the US do. I am not saying to break out the Whiskey for the kids but demonizing it might not be the right way to go here. Same thing for cigarettes. I have 3 kids and we live in a rowhouse in NW and sometimes we go out front and there is something I am not so fond of going on with music and aggressive lyrics coming from a car, or kids using foul language etc....we just move it along to avoid or we go play in the back. You dont own the world. But you do own your feet:)
