I 've thought about it, and I think if you don't know that there are still risks regardless, then I don't know what to tell ya. I use mine a couple of times a week and will until I can feel movement because it keeps me from going bat shit. Any intelligent woman knows there are still risks that a Doppler can't identify, which is why there are doctor's visits. I think women who use it every day for an hour are not doing themselves any favors, for 3 minutes a couple times a week? The fumes from my metro commute are far worse.
What are you going to do when you finally start feeling movement and then one day the baby doesn't move as much? That will cause you stress too.....
Then you go into your OB immediately! You don't sit around at home messing with your home doppler when that happens!
Well but if she gets a heartbeat on Doppler, she might not. She is not feeling movement now and relying on it.
What are you talking about? I'm 13 weeks - this is OP. Of course I'm not feeling movement. You all have been pregnant, yes? You know all the doc does is listen to the heartbeat at visits, right? What else do you suggest they do? Please stop.
Not talking about you OP. talking about the poster who uses the doppler b/c she is not far enough along to feel movement - says it keeps her from going bat shit. Yes and the doctor at my medical visits is a medical professional - the only person who should be using a Doppler.
