I also knew several Ambers growing up in the 80s in the South - guess it just depends on where you're from. Sorry, it was looked down on as sort of a "country" name when I was growing up. Don't name your kid after anything shiny (Mercedes), sparkly (Crystal), or edible (Brandi, Candi, Brie) and you'll be just fine.[/quote]
