If a language is offered, it is taught as a subject matter, usually for an hour or less a day, or perhaps as infrequently as 1-2 times a week. In an immersion program, students are regularly taught various subjects in the foreign language. For example, a student would learn math or history or geography while it is taught in French or Spanish. Offering a language is definitely NOT the same as having an immersion program.[/quote]
