Twenty years ago in the midwest, each class of 100 kids had about 3-4 pregnancies per class. Most during senior year, but occasionally earlier. I never saw/ heard of anyone getting pregnant before sophomore year.

That said... there was a kid in my class who got his girlfriend pregnant when he was 16 and the girlfriend was 15. They continued to live with their own parents and go to school. The baby went back and forth; my classmate was a very devoted dad, even at 16. And when they graduated (she was pregnant with their second her senior year), they moved in together and he apprenticed with a mechanic. She worked at a home daycare. Last I heard, he had bought the mechanic's shop from the previous owner and was doing very well, and she had opened her own daycare center and had a years-long waitlist. Interestingly, they stopped at the two kids. Complete family of four by the time they were 18. So... I guess score ONE for teen parents... [/quote]
