It is an absurd standard given how bad fossil fuels are from extraction, transportation, refinement, burning to generate energy, industrial waste, and abandoned wells and mine. shipping. A gallon of gas weights 6 pounds. When it is burned it produces 19 pounds of CO2. The use of fossil fuels has reduced world wide atmosphere oxygen by 0.1%. Solar, batteries, wind, etc are not way close to that and they are way cheaper.[/quote]
