My cousin was a nasa scientist and his kids went to the PG public schools. I wouldn’t think GS 14s or whatever they are would be lining up for the private schools but maybe the religious schools. We moved out of PG because so many of my neighbors sent their kids to religious schools and we didn’t really want to do that. I think PPs point about McPS probably pushing kids into algebra too quickly might be a really good point. A lot of kids are good at arithmetic so do well in ES math, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they will be good at conceptual math, so pushing them quickly into algebra isn’t always a great idea. They should probably make algebra a 2 year class. [/quote]
