I think Tech's desireability among students has dropped since the shootings. DD who is an in-state junior refuses to even visit for that reason, and some of her friends feel the same way. Meanwhile both JMU and GMU have both made great strides in reputation lately. A lot has to do with the individual programs at each school and not such-and-such a school is #4 or #5 in Virginia.[/quote] Nonsense. The battle between 4 and 5 is between Tech and GMU. JMU actually more consistently comes up as the best ranking of the three. Even UMW is more selective than VT...[/quote]
