Fire insurance was prohibitively expensive in that area due to predatory insurance companies changing their rules over the last decade.

I hope Spencer wins honestly.  Karen Bass is what is wrong with the democrats.  The other candidate who gained steam was a "socialist" who lived in her gated 2.5 + million dollar home and not among the communities actually impacted day to day by drug addicts and homeless encampments.
